The quintessential monthly practice lockout for musicians in LA! This place is secure - so you’ll never have to worry about your gear - and very low drama. The staff is very friendly, and as long as you pay your rent, you won’t have any issues whatsoever. Musicians - especially drummers - this place is invaluable!

Downtown Rehearsal Studio is a hidden gem for musicians in the heart of the city. Whether you're a band or a solo artist, Downtown Rehearsal Studio offers an ideal space to hone your craft and prepare for performances. I highly recommend this studio for its excellent facilities and outstanding service.

Awesome rehearsal space with a big parking lot and lots of rooms. Highly recommend, although getting to Boyle Heights from just about anywhere is awful during rush hour, though I guess that's not unique. Our room has a really nice view of the downtown skyline and the freight trains that go by. It's an awesome place to just jam or hang out, as well as to rehearse.

Great for 24/7 practice room lock-outs. 2 floors of rooms, usually has rooms available. Not cheap but at fair market monthly rates. Window rooms are best rooms as u can install your own A/C unit for comfort. Non-window rooms are cheaper but they get hot + stuffy in summer as there is no general building A/C. Well-appointed industrial-style rooms with super high ceilings with hanging baffles, strong power outlets. Most have grey carpeted floor + walls to eliminate excess sound reflection. Building has heavy-duty carts + trollies for equipment, usually found on 4th fl. Big bathrooms. 2 elevators including a big freight one for gear. Elevators work 98% of time. Only 1 time were both broken out of last 10 years. Huge fenced in parking lot that usually has spaces open. Security at front keeps most lurkers + thieves out, keeps an eye on lot somewhat. Key card-controlled front entrance. I love this place! Convenient to most freeways. Building is set back from 7th St + actually faces the side street. Pull into parking lot to access the entrance. Easy load-in ramp for gear. Easy in/out at all times. Friendly, high energy + creative vibes here. Highly recommended!
