You know that song dust in the bottle. This might be the best way to describe this place. It's an old building safe and secure, but on the inside you have a whole bunch of rooms, you rent one out and you have your own privacy, where no one judges, you and your music. You can get your own key and key card so, you know, your stuff is safe to leave there. I would highly recommend this for any upcoming artists. You also get to enjoy hearing other people's work. Whether it's the room next to you or a room you are walking by. There are so many different types of artists in this building.

Yes folks this place is pretty awesome. We use the main large fully furnished room at the Franklintown Rd location which features an enormous mixing board and enough sound gear to record live if you so wish. There is a staff member on duty who will provide any assistance that you need and who is incredibly knowledgeable about the studio and the industry at large. The backline provided consists of top level equipment . Drummers only need to bring the essentials , as the rest of the drums are provided. Although the neighborhood is a little bit rough, the complex is safely fenced in and you must pass through a secure gate to enter the studio. The room also has a couch area and its own restroom .I have not experienced the smaller rehearsal rooms. Regardless, it is a great place for band practice in Baltimore!!

Been renting a room at bandland essex and i’ve had nothing but smooth experiences. Owner communicates well and honors requests promptly. Place feels secure by use of keys and keycards. Only shortcoming is that the bathroom could use more soap
