Pirate studios are great.but it takes a little getting used to developing your workflow there. But they are quick in troubleshooting if you get in touch quickly and they will chat and help you you work things out. My last studio session I accidentally book the evening instead of a morning sesssion so I arrived at 10am to a morning session when I accidentally booked it at 10pm. We quickly sorted it out and I was able to complete my studio session as planned. So grateful we were able to work it out. Thst why pirate gets 5 star rating from me…respect.

No soul, questionable equipment. Rooms barely enough to fit 4 people let alone a full band and their kit. Overpriced, hollowed out shell of a building. Only limited to 1 car per band otherwise you get a £60 fine. No Bueno.

Disappointed with Notting Hill site. The studios are built underneath an active railway track. If your doing any recording, you will be stopping every couple of minutes waiting for the train noise to stop. The parking registration also didn’t work, as I received a lovely £100 fine from parking eye.

While the studios are unmanned and this can lead to some uncertainty the facilities are up to standard and meet expectations. Have never had a problem with the gear but could do with a couple of chairs. There's a musicians noticeboard as you would expect along with toilet facilities and a kitchen that does not have much beyond cupboard space and a sink. A small vending machine provides small snacks for the expected pricing. There is also a free ear plug dispenser offering sponge based protection for your ear balls.
