We visited to record our vocals, Pirate Studios was easy to locate. Literally across the road from Dalston Junction station, and a 10 minute walk from Dalston Kingsland. When we went there were no staff in sight, perhaps its self service at the weekend or always. But we saw a WhatsApp number, that could be used to speak to a staff member if required. Studio had air conditioning, and a small sofa futon style, 1 large office chair, large desk with all the equipment, a chair, then the audio set up in the next section... Equipment all present and correct just bring your laptop, we did 2 hours in one studio then went to another for 2 hours. The toilets were ok, fairly decent. Overall a mainly positive experience!

My experience of Pirate Studios thus far has been very positive. The studios themselves are clean, and the equipment is always in good condition. There is also air conditioning, should you need it. The booking process is straightforward, and the entire studio is self-service, meaning that you book your hourly slot on the website, with the capacity of renting a studio space of up to 24 hours, and you can earn points that go towards future discounts.

Good studios for recording DJ sets. The Poineer, PA speakers, certainly pack a punch! The entry system is easy and convenient with no fuss of checking in.

The Recording suites at Pirate are excellent. Good level of soundproofing, good basic tools (mic, soundcard and monitors) and a great ambience which really helps the creative process. The Air Con is very welcome too!
