Installing TuneUp on your phone

What it is

TuneUp is a web app you can install straight from the browser: no app store needed. Installed, it opens full screen like a native app, gets its own icon, and (importantly on iPhone) can receive push notifications.

When to use it

Install it on any phone you rehearse with. On iPhone, installing is required for push notifications, since Safari tabs can't receive them.

Steps

iPhone (Safari)

1. Open tuneup.band in Safari and sign in.
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap Add.

Android (Chrome)

1. Open tuneup.band in Chrome.
2. If an Install app button appears (TuneUp shows a one-time banner on your dashboard), tap it and you're done.
3. Otherwise: tap the ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen → confirm.

Tips

• TuneUp shows the install banner once, on your dashboard, on mobile. If you dismissed it, use the manual steps above: it works exactly the same.
• After installing, open TuneUp from its Home Screen icon (not the browser). That's the installed version.
• Once installed, TuneUp will offer to turn on notifications: see Turning on notifications.
