Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and the control you have over your data.

Last updated: June 16, 2026

TuneUp helps bands and rehearsal rooms play together. This policy explains what information we handle while you use the app and this site.

What we collect

Account details you give us — your name, email, and the bands, instruments, and city you add to your profile.
Content you create — bands, sessions, setlists, messages, bookings, and recordings you upload.
Basic usage and device data — pages you visit and the device/browser you use, so we can keep the service running and improve it.

How we use it

To run the core features: create bands, schedule sessions, sync live mode, and book rehearsal rooms.
To send you essential emails (invites, booking details, beta updates you ask for) and to respond when you contact us.
To keep TuneUp secure, prevent abuse, and understand what to build next.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what a feature needs — for example, a rehearsal room sees the band name and time when you request a booking.
We use trusted service providers to operate TuneUp, and they process data on our behalf under their own safeguards: hosting & database (Supabase), product analytics (Google Analytics and PostHog), transactional email (Resend), SMS and messaging (Twilio and Meta’s WhatsApp Business API), payments and invoicing (Lemon Squeezy, Stripe, and Israeli payment/invoicing providers), accounts you choose to connect (Google, Spotify), web-push notifications, and the audio-AI providers described below.

AI features & your recordings

To split a recording into stems or to enhance/remaster it, your audio is sent to a third-party AI processing provider (our GPU host and, if you choose one, the separation or remaster provider you select) solely to perform that task, then returned to you. You can see which provider handled each result in the studio.
We do not use your recordings to train any AI, and we choose providers that process your audio transiently and, under their terms, do not use it to train their models.
You keep ownership of what you record; you confirm you have the rights to the audio you upload (see our Terms).

Your choices

You can view and edit your profile in the app, unsubscribe from non-essential emails, and ask us to export or delete your account data at any time.
To make a request, email hello@tuneup.band from the address on your account.

Retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, though no online service can promise perfect security.
If a personal-data breach ever affects you, we’ll notify you and, where the law requires, the relevant authorities without undue delay.

Age

TuneUp is intended for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

We may update this policy as TuneUp grows. We’ll post the new date here and, for significant changes, let you know in-app or by email.

This is a plain-language summary for our closed beta and isn’t legal advice. Questions? Email hello@tuneup.band.
