Setting up your musical profile
What it is
The first time you sign in, TuneUp walks you through a short setup so it can match you with the right bands, jams, and songs. You can redo it any time from Settings → Edit profile & instruments.
Steps
- Your name: pre-filled if you signed in with Google; type it if not.
- Instruments: pick everything you play and mark one as your main instrument. Options include guitar, bass, vocals, drums, keys, violin, sax, trumpet, and more.
- Genres: pick your favorites (Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Metal, and more). Optional.
- Inspirations: pick artists you love. Optional, tap Skip if you like.
- Your path: choose what brings you here:
- Join a band: enter the 6-character invite code your bandmate shared.
- Create a band: name it, optionally pick a genre and cover image.
- Just exploring: head straight to your dashboard.
- Summary: review everything, then tap Start playing.
You'll see a short animation as your profile comes together, and then you're in.
Tips
- Arrived from a band invite link? The invite follows you through onboarding: you'll be asked to accept it as soon as you finish.
- Your instruments power a lot: jam matching, "spots for you" on the map, and which tutorial videos you see while practicing. Keep them honest!
