Chord versions, accuracy, and reporting problems
Where chords come from
TuneUp generates its own chord chart for each song, timed to the recording. Charts are self-checking: if a chart doesn't actually match the song's lyrics, TuneUp replaces it automatically ("Chords didn't match this song, replaced with the right ones").
Chord versions
The ⋯ menu → Chord versions lists alternative takes on the song's chords: community versions and your bandmates'. Your pick applies for you personally; bands can also set a band-wide default version so practice and live mode always match. Made your own improvements? Adding your own chord version earns the "Chord crafter" badge, and votes on it count toward "Crowd favorite".
Reporting a wrong chord
Tap the chord itself → Report an issue, then pick what's wrong: Wrong chord, Wrong timing, Wrong position, Missing chord, Wrong key, or Other, plus an optional note. This goes straight to us and helps fix the chart for everyone.
Reporting a song or section
- Whole song: ⋯ menu → Report song: wrong lyrics, wrong chords, wrong video or track, wrong timing, offensive content, or other.
- One section: tap the section divider and report from there, including a mislabeled section (that chorus that's actually a bridge).
