Live mode: rehearse in sync
What it is
Live mode turns a session into a shared screen: the whole band sees the same song from the setlist, scrolled to the same line, with tempo and even solo sections synchronized across everyone's phones.
Starting it
On the session page, tap Go Live. The band gets a "LIVE: tap to join" notification, and anyone in the band can also hop in from the Live page, which lists your bands' active sessions.
During the rehearsal
- Anyone can drive. Whoever last presses play, pauses, seeks, or jumps becomes the "driver" and everyone follows. No fixed leader, no fighting for control.
- Jumping between songs: tap the setlist (playlist) icon next to the song name to open the song list, then tap any song; the whole band lands on it together.
- Your own pace: switch your scroll mode from synced to auto if you'd rather read ahead without affecting others.
- Metronome: the tempo is shared across the band, but the click sound is local: only you hear yours.
- Solos: a song's solo sections freeze the lyrics while the metronome counts the soloist through their bars, for everyone at once.
- The Tuner, chord tools, and reporting all work in live mode too.
Each song uses the chord version your band picked, so live always matches what you practiced.
