Files and band assets

What it is

Every session has an Assets tab for files (audio, PDFs, images, docs), and every band has a band-wide Assets tab that aggregates the band's session assets, each tagged with the session it came from. Upload once and it's there for the whole band, past and future sessions included, no copying.

Uploading

In a session's Assets tab (or the band Assets tab), tap Upload:

  • From phone: PDF, images, audio (mp3/wav/m4a), and docs.
  • Dropbox: pick straight from your Dropbox once connected. (Google Drive is coming soon.)
  • Ableton project (.als): imports the project; TuneUp can even create a song from its tempo, tracks, and sections.

Sharing with the band

Session assets are visible band-wide by default: they show on the band's Assets tab and in every session, labeled with where they came from. To keep things tidy:

  • Hide from this session removes an asset from one session only (and Show in this session brings it back); it stays available everywhere else.
  • Any member can toggle an asset's Share with the band state.
  • Deleting is limited to the uploader or an admin.

Working with assets

  • Audio: Just listen (a player with scrubbing and ±10s skips) or Open in studio for multitrack editing.
  • Scores and docs open in the enhanced reader (MusicXML, Guitar Pro, PDF).
  • Band takes carry their own menu: open in studio, publish as cover, delete.
  • Filter by type, search, and sort by date or size. A storage bar shows the band's usage against the free 5 GB reference.
