Remaster a channel

What it is

Remaster runs a channel through AI enhancement to make a phone recording sound closer to a studio one. It's non-destructive: the remaster lands as a new channel next to the original, with an A/B toggle so you can compare and keep whichever you prefer.

Steps

1. In the studio, tap the Remaster wand on the transport (or a channel's hold-menu → Remaster).
2. Pick the channel to enhance.
3. Choose a strength:
   • Clean up: noise reduction only, no AI.
   • Subtle: faithful, barely touched, preserves the performance.
   • Studio: balanced studio polish.
   • Full: a fuller re-render; may change nuance.
4. For vocals, you can paste the lyrics: it helps the AI keep your words instead of inventing new ones.
5. Wait out the Remastering… badge, then use the A/B toggle: A is your original, B the remaster.

Good to know

• The original is auto-muted when the remaster arrives so you hear the new version by default; nothing is deleted.
• A nearly silent channel can't be remastered ("nothing to remaster").
• If it fails, the channel may be too quiet or short; just try again.
• Your audio is processed transiently and never used to train AI.
