The studio

What it is

Tap any take (from the recording sheet or the session's Assets tab) and it opens in a full-screen multitrack studio. A short guided tour walks you through it on first open.

Channels

Each track or stem is a channel in the left rail. Drag a channel's icon up or down to reorder; drag the rail's edge outward to reveal names, mute (M) / solo (S), and volume. Rename a track from its track view.

Minus-one practice

The studio's favorite trick: mute your own instrument and play along with the rest of the band. Every channel stays in perfect sync. Great for practicing your part against a real take of your own band.

Transport

Play/pause the whole take, jump back to the start, and set an A-B loop to drill a section.

Recording a new channel

Tap the record button, pick an instrument, and record a fresh layer on your mic in time with the take: overdub a harmony, redo your part, add percussion.

Saving

Save your changes to the take, or keep the original and save your edits as a new version. Versions are per-user, so your mix doesn't overwrite a bandmate's.

Beyond mixing

From here you can also separate a take into stems and remaster individual channels.
