Plan a rehearsal

What it is

A session is one rehearsal: a time, a place, a setlist, and the people expected. Any band member can create one.

Steps

From your band page → Sessions tab → + Add (or the dashboard's Sessions quick action). Four steps:

  1. Where: pick one:
    • Find & book a room: search studios and book right inside TuneUp.
    • Already booked elsewhere: enter the place, date, and time yourself.
    • Our own place: basement, garage, home studio; you can save the place for next time.
    • Decide later: skip for now.

Date and time are set here. The Scheduling assistant can suggest a slot from your bandmates' availability.

  1. Songs: build the setlist from your library or copy one from a past session. Adding songs turns on setlist voting.
  2. Who: tap the members who are expected. You'll see instrument coverage ("3 of 4 instruments covered"), plus a Share invite link / QR and an email field for people not in the band yet.
  3. Review: name the session, double-check when/where/songs/who, choose whether it repeats (Never / Weekly / Every 2 weeks / Monthly), and whether to notify the band. Then create it.

The confirmation screen gives you the invite link, an Add to calendar button, and, if you booked a room, your booking QR pass.

Tips

  • Recurring sessions add the next date automatically as each one passes.
  • Booked a room? The session page will show the room, pricing split per player, and your check-in QR. See Book a rehearsal room.
