Find a stand-in for a session

What it is

When a member can't make a rehearsal, a band admin can open seats on that one session. Players see the open spot in Explore, apply, and, once approved, get access to that session only. Stand-ins don't join your band, don't see your history, and the arrangement ends when the session does.

Steps (band admins)

  1. Open the session, set its visibility to Open (the chip on the hero).
  2. In the Players card, use the Need a stand-in? control: pick the instrument(s), how many of each (the + / − stepper), and an optional note, then Publish.
  3. Applicants appear right in the Players card: approve ✓ or decline ✕. You can chat with them first.

For stand-ins

Open seats look like any open session slot in Search → Sessions: apply the same way you join a jam. Once approved, the session appears in your list; you can practice its setlist and follow along in live mode. You'll show in the players list with a guest badge.
